Now she means business..

She has been pulling up to her knees on things now for a couple months ever since she could go from laying down to sitting. She has started pulling up to a stand for a few weeks now. But it was always been kind of a leaned over stand. Her hands were always about a foot in front of her feet. The last couple days, she would pull up and then walk up until she was standing straight up. I thought that was a big thing and then tonight she decided to start taking steps sideways. She took about 4 steps and then got too excited and fell over. I am not ready for her to walk yet. Not until Bear starts listening to me. There is only one of me and two of them. I have visions in my head of them running in different directions. They are not nice visions. Usually those visions are followed by me reminding myself to get some kid leashes; or shock collars. Just kidding....kind of.

For a long while now Bear has been very adamant that his namet was "Lightning McQueen, the famous race car." That was how he introduced himself. And he had nicknames for everyone else. I was Mack. Bug was Sally, Nana was Flo, Pop Pop was The King, Uncle was Chick, and Aunt D was Mater. That was what he called everyone for the longest time. And if you tried calling him by his real name, he would correct you until you gave in. "I am lightning McQueen the famous racecar!" This last week he has moved on. He is now, "Buzz Lightyear, star commander." That is how he introduces himself and if you dare call him anything but that, you will get corrected. He does not like Buddy, Bear, his name, Son, nothing. He is Buzz Lightyear star commander. And he flys everywhere we go. Even in the car, he spreads his wings and "helps me drive." He got very upset the other day when he hurt one of his arms. He started crying and telling me that his wings were broken and he wouldn't be able to fly that day. I love his imagination.

Of course, it is less adorable in my five year old who is Star Wars obsessed and won't knock it off with blasting me all day long. Can I please take him back to the Toy Story days?
