The clown

We bought a camera for the computer so we could talk by video with daddy now and then friends and family once we leave.

I thought tonight I would make a little video for daddy so he could see how sweet Bear is. It started out sweet and then just turned into play time with the boy on the computer.

What is really sweet about this song though is that he will take the word "sunshine" and sub in "mommy." So he will climb up in my lap at the perfect time and sing to me: "You are my mommy, my only mommy. You make me happy when skies are gray. You never know dear, how much I love you. Please don't take my mommy away."

It makes me melt.

The other thing that really gets me is his hugs. I can be having the worst most stressful day and he will just randomly come to me and ask me, "Mommy you could use a hug?" and he will wrap his little arms around me and to feel those little fingers on the back of my neck just makes everything else just disappear.

The patience of a 2 year old

I never thought I would envy the patience that my son has. Bug has been sick for the last few days and so she has been a little cranky. Never once has this little boy raised his voice or spoken crossly to her during her fussy times. Even when I have on the edge of crying myself, he just keeps singing to her and gently "shushing" her. We were in the kitchen cooking dinner and she started to cry from her jumperoo. He looked at me and said, "I got it mommy, I going to go sing to her. Here I come baby sister! Don't worry!" He loves to sing, You are my Sunshine to her. Even when I couldn't get her to calm down, he was able to. She just stopped crying when he walked up to her and when he started singing, she got the biggest most adoring smile. I hope and pray that they remain this wonderful together forever.

Besides being sick, she has been getting really strong. For the last month now, she has been standing up on her own while just holding my fingers. She will go for full minutes at a time. Last week though she started doing sqauts. Up and down. Very controlled. My legs got tired just watching her!

And she has finally figured out the jumperoo. Kind of. She jumps up and then falls down and then laughs and then stops. Five minutes later she will try it again. But just one jump at a time though. :)

The Pumpkin Farm

I love going to The Farm. We have gone there for like the last 6 years now. It is about an hour away, but it is a tradition to go there and get the pumpkins and see all the animals. This year was fun, a little rainy, but hey we are Washintonians; a little rain won't stop us!

Well that was new...

I have been pooped on, by kids and dogs, I have been peed on, I have been spit up on. But today reached a whole new level of grossness. My daughter can sneeze. When she sneezes, she gets whatever is in front of her face wet. Normally, I can tell by her facial expressions that one is coming and I will either pull up the bib for her or place a burp rag up there for her to sneeze into.
Today I was not fast enough. She burped and I heard the stuff coming up so I turned my head to look for a burp rag to catch it, but while my face was turned, she apparently made the sneeze face. I turned back just in time to catch the tail end of it, but not soon enough to do anything about it. I got sprayed in the face with sour milk. Why is this grosser than just being spit up on? Because it went in my eyes, in my nose, in my mouth (I think I was starting to say, "Oh-shoot" or something like it) and in my hair. Every nook and cranny in my head. But boy was I rewarded with the biggest smile after that. I am glad she felt better.

Inside the brains of babies...

Here they all are finally. All 4 boys and all 4 girls. Each girl born within 2 weeks of their brothers second birthdays. Just call us mommies a bunch of freak shows for gaving boys together and then girls. Must be in the water....

Seriously this kids and their mommies have been such a blessing to me over the last couple years. And I am going to miss them all.

On a dark desert highway...

Well we made it. The kids did awesome on the car ride down. And lost it on the car ride home. I won't go any more into that because I still hyperventilate when I think about it. Here are the pictures. We got a lot accomplished. Sea World, Disneyland, In-n-out(only 3 times), found a place to live, beach, and oh yeah, got to see Daddys ship come home.
