Round one is over, but round two is just begun...

On Monday morning at 3 am, I was awoken to Bear standing in the middle of the room puking half way across it. He was awake at 6 decorating the floor some more. And at various hours through out the day, I was rushing across the room trying to get him to aim in a bucket that he did not want to stick his head in. By that night it was coming out of the other side.
Last night, he was starting to perk up. Even ate a few cheerios for dinner. I thought to myself, "finally we are coming out of this." And with that I jinxed myself. I got Bug up from her nap that afternoon, she took one look at me and barfed right on me. He slept through the night finally, but she was up all night, miserable. It has continued on today. Bear has been feeling a little better, only a few messy diapers. But she is going through what I can only hope is the worst of it now.
Now I have to say a few things here. We had started potty training. For the last week, he had only had a couple of accidents. And that means through the night and naptime too, and those were just with the number 2 side. He was doing awesome. I am not sure how this is going to affect him now.
And I am a sympathetic puker. Smell it, see it, hear it, think it, and I am barfing right along with the original victim. It has been by the grace of God himself that I have not barfed right back on them when they were barfing on me.
Red gatorade=red barf that stains. That is all I will say about that.
And on a positive note; this was the best time for them to get this because the carpet that has taken the brunt of it is getting replaced this weekend.

The best Valentine I could ever get

We were riding in the car yesterday and Bear was asking if we were going to see his uncle "Dan-the-man." I said yes, he would be at home.
"Is Lulu (Uncle's girlfriend) going to be there too?"
"Yes honey."
"Is Lulu going to spend the night?"
"No honey, she isn't spending the night."
"Why?"
"Because they are not married baby."
"Oh.----Am I going to get married mommy?"
"Yes honey, when God brings a woman to you and you love her more than anything else."
Silence for about 3 minutes. Then:
"Mommy can I marry you?"
My heart melted.

Random stuff from the last month

Happy Birthday baby girl! You have changed so much this last month. You are now quite mobile, you have doubled the amount of teeth in your mouth and have started talking.
I no longer need to leave a blanket out for you to lay on. Within 5 seconds you are off of it and across the room digging in your toy basket. You have not started crawling yet, but anyday now you are going to take off. You get up on all fours and rock and sometimes you will venture out with a hand or a knee. A couple times you have taken a couple of "steps" forward. You have started to crawl backwards, which is really funny to watch. You have mastered rolling and turning on your belly and scooting on your butt and just yesterday you taught your self how to go from laying down to sitting up. You love to pull yourself up on things, especially things that topple over on you. Just to your knees though, you have yet to get up on your feet, thank goodness.
Your top teeth have come in. The picure above is when they first started, they are now over halfway in. With a huge gap that I just adore.
You love food. Not baby food though. You will still eat 3 jars a day but you love it when I give you whatever your brother and I are eating. We tried cheerios the other day, and you ate them like a champ. I love to watch the concentration on your face as you pinch your fingers together around that precious cheerio and then very slowly bring it to your mouth watching it, lest it jump from your hand and then you get it in your mouth with the help of your entire hand and then you give me the "I did it" smile.
I think that my favorite time of day with you is right before bed. It is always while I am changing your jammies. You get in this silly mood where I can look at you cross eyed and you bust up laughing. And you laugh and laugh and laugh. It lasts about 15 minutes before you start to ask for your bed time snack.
We have been working on sign language and so far you can ask for milk. We are also working on "all done" and "more."
You love your big brothers toys. And he is so patient with you. Normally he will allow you to play with whatever you want, but on that occasion that you have something he can't live with out, he will bring you one of your toys and trade you. And you love it. You love to give him kisses and pull his hair and wrestle with him.
You love hair. When sitting on my hip your right hand automatically goes up to hold onto the small tuft of hair at the nape of my neck. And when you nurse, you reach up and get a handful of your own hair and play with that.
The month is coming when you will have been out in this world longer than you were in me. I am not ready for that yet. Not ready.
I love you my baby girl. You are just a fountain of joy that I look forward to seeing every morning and miss you within 5 minutes of you going to bed at night. Your smile lights up my heart.

Up and running

It has been forever since I got on here, no excuses. Just laziness I suppose. Or just not really having a driving yearning inside could be blamed too. But today something happened that I just have to blog about.
My baby girl said her first word. It was perfect. Pronounced beautifully. And oh so fitting for who she worships. She said her big brothers name. Now she has said "ama" for a little bit, but that is just in babbling. It is kind of hard to babble her brothers name. I said it for her very slowly and enunciated it for her and she started out with a Na-na-na-na- and then said it. My mom, "Bob the builder", and I all whipped out heads around to look at her because we had all heard the same thing. It was so adorable. Maybe just a fluke, I don't know, but I am counting that as her first word.

seven months (and a few days)

Oh my sweet baby girl. Where do I begin? You have such a big personality. You have changed so much in just a month.
You have developed your taste buds and the way they have developed makes me question whether or not you were switched at birth. You love veggies. Love them. And that is not all. You despise fruits. I have to trick you into eating fruit in the morning. I am lucky to get half a jar into you. But as soon as I bust out the vegetables, you will gulp down all you can. You open your mouth as big as you can and stick your tongue all the way out. For every bite.
Your new laugh is a funny one. You sound like you are hyperventilating. You open your mouth to laugh and then suck in and out real fast.
You have this thing with your tongue. It is always out of your mouth. Always. Just sitting there, chilling. It is really cute.
And when you don't like something, everyone knows. You have got a temper on you. It is kind of funny watching you throw an out and out temper tantrum just because I took away the rock that your brother handed you. It probably won't be so cute in a year from now, so get it all out now please.
You are my baby girl. I can't explain to you how much I love you. Seeing your face in the morning when you have just woken up and you give me that smile that makes your eyes dance and your whole face up, that is the way I want to start every morning.
